Apple iPadOS 16: Transforms the multitasking experience
On June 6, when WWDC comes, we expect operating system updates for all Apple ‘s core products . As Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports, one of the big new changes coming with iPadOS 16 is a redesigned multitasking interface that shows which apps are open in the background.
Still, iPads will have new options for resizing app windows, improved task switching, and new ways to handle multiple apps at once.
Apple iPadOS 16: Transforms the multitasking
The current version of iPadOS 15 can do split-view multitasking where you have two apps side by side and you can add another one in Slide Over, which can be placed on the side.
These additions to multitasking are made in order for the iPad to succeed in replacing the laptop and not be closer to smartphones .
The revamped iPad experience will be one of the biggest upgrades announced at WWDC, according to Gurman. Developers will get beta access on the same day—June 6—and Apple will refine the iPadOS 16 software over several months before releasing it in the fall alongside iOS 16.
Let’s say that the iPad series represents 9% of Apple’s annual sales and its users have grown a lot in the last two years.
